St. Nicholas, the man Santa Claus was modeled after was a Bishop of Myra. This 10.5 inch statue shows him dressed in Bishop’s Vestments holding a crozier and the Book of Gospels which symbolize him as a Bishop spreading the word of God. Three gold balls set atop the book he holds. These symbolize a story about St. Nicholas. It is said that he dropped enough gold into the window of a home with three girls to pay their dowry and save them from slavery. Made of resin.
